You are aware of the benefits of each of these poses. What is the common benefit of seated yoga poses?<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Seated yoga poses improve flexibility of the body. Sitting on the floor is an exercise by itself. Children are very flexible and they can easily get up from the floor. The very act of  lowering your hip to the floor to getting up without holding anything for support is reflective of the flexibility of your body. Want to test? Sit down on the floor and get up without holding anything or placing your hand on the floor. If you are pretty comfortable with this, you are good.
