In today's post we will be covering Extended Triangle Pose. In Sanskrit, 'uthita' means 'extended'. Since the pose involves extending one leg and performing a triangle pose, it is named thus.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Extended Triangle Pose is one of the best poses for strengthening the legs. Keep your palms facing downwards.<\/li><li>Turn the left foot slightly towards your right. Turn your right foot to the side so the toes are pointed towards the right side.<\/li><li>With slow exhalation, bend your body sideways towards your right.<\/li><li>Hold your right ankle with your right hannd. You can also place your right hand on the floor.<\/li><li>Lift your left arm upwards. The arm should be aligned to your shoulders with the fingers pointing upwards.<\/li><li>Turn your head upwards and fix your gaze on the left hand thumb.<\/li><li>Hold the pose for 30 seconds. Release the pose and repeat the same on the left side.
